I don't want to go into some lengthy rant about individual topics of discussion about the events of this last year and dont worry, I won't. I won't detail out each drama or fight that's happened in the year of 2013; I don't think I have enough space on this page. What I will do though, is commend a couple of individuals for their hard work in the channel and to talk about some of the things that we will be doing the near future.
First, I want to thank my fellow admin Hehateme , who has constantly has done a great job moderating and improving the channel. In addition to being a great asset to the leadership of the channel, Alex is consistantly in the top 10 stats week after week and always contributes to discussions on new things that can be done in the channel. Another player I want to thank for his contributions to the channel is gramz , who returns to the channel after years of absense. In the relatively short time he has been back with us, he has become one of the prominent and reputable players in both the North American and Euro communities. I look forward to his continued participation in the channel.
Now, for upcoming changes and events. First, in addition to the 1v1 and 2v2 QuickCups that we have had recently, I personally want to run a CTFS tournament in the near future. I have recently worked with myT from the euro channel on a rule set and a map list that could be used and now I'm just trying to find the time to actually have the event. Second, we will continue to run King of The Hill events periodically and on relatively short notice. As an organizer, I enjoy doing these events and the response from them is fairly positive. Third, Hehateme plans on running a duel league in the coming weeks and a dozen or so people within the North American community seem to be eager to participate. If any of you are interested in running tournaments for the channel, please contact me and I will make sure you have space on the website to administrate it and offer my service as caster to stream and commentate the action.
I look forward to another year in the channel and hope that all of you continue to enjoy playing CPM as a part of this community. As a resolution for this year, I will be doing my best to improve the atmosphere of the community and trying to make sure all players feel welcome. Thank you all for making this channel one of the best gaming communities in Quake for the past decade.

The new Tournaments section to the site, which will serve from here on out as an archive of all competitions within #USCPMPICKUP . At the moment, it only links to the King of the Hill tournaments that we have run through the #USCPMPICKUP Google+ Community , but I am happy to announce that it will soon house our very own tournament management system. This new system will be a long-overdue update to the Putty brackets that we have previously used through the Ready Up Radio site and will include all tournament information in one page, including tournament brackets. In addition to providing all this, the tournament pages will provide us the ability to store individual tournament results and information long-term for archival purposes, rather than previously having to wipe all this great information when we needed to reuse the brackets. We will be debuting this page with our first proper bracketed tournament, which should be very soon; we are still deciding on a format right now. I've shown a couple players the initial prototype and the feedback has been very positive.
As a followup to the previous post, I'm very happy about the response from the Google+ Community adoption and we are still coming up with new uses for the page. We think this is a great way to make the community a little more personal and helps add a human element to the game. Thank you all for joining.

I've talked to several of you this past week and there's seem to be a clear demand for an additional space for players to post information and share thoughts. In response to this, I have created the #USCPMPICKUP Community on Google+ and added a link to it in the navigation bar at the top. I have been using Communities for a while for some of my other interests and think it provides a great way to add an additional outlet for the community to share with each other. There, we can customize Categories to group certain topics (ie Config Help, Commentaries, VODs, Frag Movies, etc).
In addition, the Community page is already setup with an events category, which will provide us a medium scheduling and providing information about events. The other great feature that this provides is that in instantly adds events to community members' Google Calendars, and accompanying devices. You can now get notifications on when signups for events and when event streams will start. Never miss a tournament again!
Finally, I hope this will bring the community a little closer back together and add a human aspect to the channel. More often than not, we simply think of each other as player models in a game and I think we need to be reminded that we are all part of a larger group of people that love to play a really great game.
So here it is: the #USCPMPICKUP Google+ Community . Please, provide any feedback that you have about this new social space and GET QUAKING!

First off, congratulations to myT for winning last week's 1v1 Quick Cup and pan1c , who was able to take 2nd place. It was interesting using the Round Robin format and though there was some difficulties with the setup, I really enjoyed giving the players more oppurtunities to compete. I look forward to try this style again sometime. As for future tournaments, we are going to attempt to develop a new bracketing and tournament system. It may seem a bit strange to not go with a more-established plugin like Challonge, but I have really enjoyed having an all-in-one system like the Putty brackets and I would like to continue to be in complete control of whatever system we use. In addition, I would like to have it seemlessly integrated into the same, and not be a seperate off-shoot, like Putty brackets are now. This will be an interesting challenge for the future.

Hi all! We are back with a brand new site and a long-overdue update to some of the included assets and features. CPMer [TiDaN] was previously providing our site and file hosting, but due to limitations in his capabilities, we decided to rebuild the site during the move. We hope you all enjoy the site and check back here in the News section regularly, as we will be announcing future tournament annoucnements here and any changes in the channel here.
